Here are some pictures of the very first toy car in my collection

Herbie officially is a 1963 Volkswagen Bug, even though different year Bugs were used in the movies.

Dean Jones, a star of three Herbie movies, wears the same orange suit in Herbie Goes to Monte Carlo, the first episode of the Herbie TV Series, and the 1997 TV Movie.

Herbie's 53's and stripes are a special Disney Font of their own.

However, in the 1997 Remake, the numbers and stripes are wrong!(See section later on in this page)

Walt Disney owned a VW Bug for awhile, then owned a Herbie!

Dean Jones, a.k.a. Jim Douglas also owns a Herbie. However, he auctioned it off recently.
